Description: The School of Education and Psychology at Walla Walla University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Special Education. Instructional roles include teaching undergraduate and graduate level Special Education and other Education courses.
The ideal candidate will be committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring students. Other responsibilities include academic advising and service on university-wide committees. The successful candidate will be a dedicated Seventh-day Adventist Christian committed to integrating their faith with teaching and scholarship.
Applicants should have the ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, bring real-world experiences to the classroom and student research projects, have the ability to work collaboratively, give evidence of scholarly activity, and possess a commitment to Christian higher education. This position oversees the preparation, implementation, and assessment of our fully online masters in special education programs. Background and experience in online platforms and teaching online are essential.
Experience: An earned doctorate in Special Education or a closely related field is preferred. ABD and Masters Level Special Education will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates withK - 16 teaching and research experience. A demonstrated commitment to Seventh-day Adventist education, to community service, and to research and writing for scholarly publications is expected.
