Description: Duties and Responsibility: Teach undergraduate courses and/or labs. Provide academic advice to assigned student advisees. Oversee student research projects. Collaborate with chair and colleagues on on-going curriculum development. Serve on University committees and other duties as assigned. Participate in professional development activities and in service to the university, community, and the profession.
Experience: Qualifications: Earned doctorate degree in physics or closely related field, required Commitment to the integration of faith and learning Teaching experience and record/evidence of potential for scholarly activity, preferred Experience with e-learning, preferred Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate computers and other standard office equipment. Working conditions: Essential tasks are performed under the normal school conditions with little or no noticeable discomfort. Work area is well lighted and ventilated. Special Requirement: Must have a strongly expressed commitment to Jesus Christ and the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing.
