Description: Duties and Responsibility:
Teach undergraduate courses and/or labs.
Provide academic advice to assigned student advisees.
Oversee student research projects.
Collaborate with chair and colleagues on on-going curriculum development.
Serve on University committees and other duties as assigned.
Participate in professional development activities and in service to the university, community, and the profession.
Earned doctorate degree in physics or closely related field, required
Commitment to the integration of faith and learning
Teaching experience and record/evidence of potential for scholarly activity, preferred
Experience with e-learning, preferred
Typical Physical Demands: Requires sitting, standing, bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 30 pounds. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate computers and other standard office equipment.
Working conditions: Essential tasks are performed under the normal school conditions with little or no noticeable discomfort. Work area is well lighted and ventilated.
Special Requirement: Must have a strongly expressed commitment to Jesus Christ and the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing.
