Description: Walla Walla Valley Academy in College Place, Washington. Our school is searching for a science teacher for the 2018-19 school year. Our campus is situated in the Walla Walla Valley right next door to Walla Walla University. The science department at WWVA is housed in the science wing with two classrooms both with an instructional space as well as lab facilities. Science education at WWVA is a strong and healthy part of our overall curriculum program. WWVA is a senior academy serving grades 9-12 to a 160 students. We enjoy generous support from our 7 constituent churches, alumni and community.
Experience: The position requires teaching life sciences including Biology and Anatomy & Physiology. The ideal candidate would have a growth mindset encouraging creativity and community in their classes. Additionally, the candidate should be denominationally certified, hold a minimum of a Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in life sciences (additional certifications in science and math a plus). We are looking for an individual who will not only engage students in academic distinction in the classroom but is also interested in empowering students for Christ both in and out of the classroom.
