Description: If you are a leader who desires to continue growth at a thriving Adventist school, we want you. Redding Adventist Academy (RAA) is seeking a full-time principal for the 2018-2019 school year. We are a 3-teacher, 1 principal K-8 school, located on a large campus in the heart of Redding, California approximately 150 miles north of Sacramento and 120 miles south of the Oregon border. Redding is known for its limitless outdoor activities. Whether you love hiking, water sports, skiing, world-famous fishing, or plenty of sunshine, we’ve got it all.
We are supported by two very active constituent churches and one company church, a helpful staff and volunteer group, and a very supportive school board, all committed to RAA’s success and mission for the future. We are seeking a principal who will have the ability to genuinely connect with students and embrace the opportunity to influence young lives, have strong communication and marketing skills, and realize the importance of relationship-building between teachers, parents, church leaders and its members, board members and the community. A successful candidate will lead and motivate our supporters, be a team player, create an academically strong Christ-centered learning environment and is able to use his/her planning and management skills to maintain a balanced budget and continue to grow our school.
Experience: The applicant should be an active member of an SDA church, have a current NAD Administrative credential and hold junior academy credentials. Successful administrative experience is strongly preferred. The school is exploring the possibility of expanding to offer grades 9 and 10. The board would like the future principal to be able to teach some classes to the high school students when the need arises.
