Description: Central Valley Christian School recently celebrated its 60th anniversary of serving families in the Corvallis, Albany, Lebanon, and Sweet Home Oregon areas. It has deep, meaningful connections with its constituent communities. The school sits less than 10 minutes from a major science and engineering university (Oregon State University), less than five miles from a more than 5,000 student two-year school (Linn Benton Community College), and 10 miles from an accredited medical school (College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific). For school year 2018-19, Central Valley is seeking an energetic, qualified instructor for its 6-8 grade classroom. Expected enrollment for next year is in the 14-18 student range, with specialists providing instruction for music and math. Central Valley is an active participant in the Oregon Conference's project based learning initiative, emphasizing student development of collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication. Experience: While experienced middle grade educators are encouraged to apply, so are recent graduates. And while advanced degrees are always a bonus, they are not essential for this engaging position. Applicants must hold NAD certification, or be eligible for it within one year. Most importantly, the professional stepping into this position will demonstrate a life lived fully for the glory and honor of our Savior.
