Description: Glacier View School located in Ronan, MT, is seeking a lower grades teacher or teaching principal for our growing school in western Montana. We are currently serving students in grades K-8 with an enrollment of over 20 students, one full-time teaching principal, a part-time aide and a part-time K-1 teacher. Our current teacher is willing to continue as the teaching principal or serve as the upper grades teacher under a new teaching principal. Team teaching subjects based on teacher strengths is also a possibility. Above all we are looking for a teacher who wants to aid in leading students to Christ while gaining confidence in life skills and having fun. We want a teacher who is willing to meet students where they are and help them grow.
Glacier View School has a supportive and growing church which includes lots of children, families, and retired couples. They will welcome you with open arms. Parents and church members are very active in the school supporting through teaching music and art, and fundraising for hot lunches and field trips. The school facility is spacious and includes three classrooms, a large library, full kitchen, fellowship hall and gymnasium with our new church building attached.
Experience: Candidates will value the spiritual emphasis that is central to having a growth mindset, demonstrate strong organizational skills, enjoy communication and marketing, and be able to amplify the existing strengths of an exceptional staff. Teaching responsibilities include the lower grades or shared teaching of grades 1-8 with the option of the principal position. Applicants must be active members of the Seventh-day Adventist church and eligible to work in the United States. The successful candidates will have the following qualifications: 1) holds or will obtain NAD denominational certification; 2) has or is willing to work toward obtaining Montana State certification; 3) maintains a spiritual presence and commitment; 4) leads by example; 5) has knowledge of elementary curriculum; 6) possesses the leadership qualities of organization, follow-through, motivation, and communication; 7) is willing to be involved in school activities. Having the ability or interest in managing social media platforms for the school is not a requirement, but would be a greatly appreciated bonus.
