Description: Department/School: School of Music
Appointment Date: Duties and responsibilities to begin June 1, 2019
Integrate with the faculty, staff, student, life, mission, and strategic goals of the School of Music.
Provide curricular oversight to and teach lower- and upper- division courses in area of primary expertise - either music history or music theory.
Additionally, teach lower- and/or upper-division courses in area of secondary expertise - either music history or music theory - to equal a full-time teaching load.
Advise music majors.
Participate in University academic life through committee membership and duties as assigned.
Maintain an active and ongoing development and presentation of professional activities within the duties and responsibilities of the position.

Master's degree in Musicology, Music History, or Music Theory required.
Completed Ph.D. in Musicology, Music History, or Music Theory or ABD preferred.
Evidence of successful classroom teaching at the university level.
Demonstrated training and/or experience in teaching secondary academic area.
Rank and Salary: Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
