Description: Holbrook Indian School (HIS) is seeking to hire a Food Services Director for the 2019/2-20 school year. This is a 10-month salaried position that may develop into a 12-month assignment beginning the summer of 2019. Candidates must have the training, experience and ability to direct the total food service operation; have knowledge of large quantity meal preparation, menu planning, and completing state, federal and local reports; have purchasing, human relations, computer, communication, and business management skills; the ability to provide a balanced example of proper health based on Adventist beliefs; be able to form positive, long-lasting relationships with students, faculty and staff. This position is open until filled.
HIS is an accredited 1-12th grade boarding school operated directly by the Pacific Union Conference. As such, faculty and staff members receive remuneration and benefits according to the policies employed by all schools in the Pacific Union. As in many other SDA boarding schools, employees live in on-campus housing. The average student population at HIS is 72 students, split evenly between 1-8th and 9-12th grades, with an additional 10-12 students at our one-teacher school in Chinle, Arizona.
Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience as food service directors in boarding schools, and who are able to provide meals to large groups during outdoor school and camping activities. Preference will be given to candidates with a CDL, with passenger endorsement, or the willingness to acquire one.
