Description: To work with the current leadership in fostering strong relationships with all stakeholders. To work jointly with the BC Conference Office, Seventh-day Adventist Church of Canada, North American Division, and the Ministry of Education for the province of British Columbia. The ability to work with the regulatory agencies regarding Special Education needs for all 14 schools in the BC conference. Working with teachers and administrators in a coaching capacity while offering support and training for these positions. Work with the educational team developing policies and procedures that will meet the SDA standards as well as the BC Ministry standards. Have a passion for education and the desire to be part of a team that wants to make a difference in all areas of education in BC.
Experience: An undergraduate degree in Education from a North American accredited university. A master’s degree in administration or education leadership or currently working on obtaining this degree. Current SDA Certification and be eligible to apply for a BC teaching certificate. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in educational leadership such as principal, vice-principal, conference or union education roles. Preference will be given to applicants who are Canadian Citizens, hold a permanent residence card, or can legally work in Canada.
