Description: Job Summary: To work wherever needed in helping serve the guests and KR’s Student Workers at KR’s Place with a Loving, Christian & positive attitude.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Be on time when scheduled to work
Be aware of Student Workers attendance and performance
Relate any employee issues to immediate supervisor
Help to prepare and serve menu items
Clean and stock whatever station needs it - Daily
Assist others when you are not busy at your station
Operate register when needed
Settle drawer at the end of the evening shift
Be a team player
Prepare Food & Work Stations for morning shift
Reinforce all department rules
Follow through with responsibilities directed by KR’s Manager
Oversee the following each evening:
Make sure areas are all clean
All food must be dated, labeled, and put away
Dishes are to be rinsed and left on cart and taken down to dish room
All trash, cardboard, rags, and aprons to be taken down to 2nd floor to designated areas
Tables/ floors in dining area and kitchen to be wiped/ swept and mopped
Refill and stock all paper products
Refill and stock drink coolers
Cooler temperatures checked and recorded
Perform all other reasonably business-related functions as assigned
Experience: Special Requirements: An expressed commitment to Jesus Christ, the teachings and mission of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, a SDA church member in good and regular standing. Able to have a good report with students, staff, customers and be open to change.
Education and Experience: A high school diploma. Supervisory experience.
Skills and Aptitudes: Interpersonal relationship skills essential with ability to work with students and staff with a team spirit. Have safety-consciousness awareness.
Typical Physical Demands: Requires standing (majority of the shift), bending and reaching. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. (If over 40 pounds please ask for help) Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate food service equipment such as food slicers, blenders, microwaves, etc. Requires normal range of motion, hearing and vision.
Working Conditions: Essential tasks are performed under normal office/school conditions with little or no noticeable discomfort. Work area is well lighted and ventilated.
