Description: Indiana Academy is seeking a qualified, dynamic, and mission-minded individual to serve in our Maintenance and Facilities department – this is a 12-month, full-time, salaried position. Based on qualifications and ability, this position will share responsibility for the maintenance and upkeep of campus facilities, transportation motor pool, and the grounds of Indiana Academy’s campus. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the total mission of Seventh-day Adventist boarding schools, recognizing that working in Maintenance and Facilities extends beyond keeping things operating safely and properly, but also includes elements of personal witnessing to and alongside students.
Experience: Individual applicants should live and model a Seventh-day Adventist lifestyle, have solid and friendly communication skills, including a personality suited for working with other maintenance/facilities personnel and students. Candidates should have a minimum of a 2-year college degree (or equivalent) as well as experience in general building maintenance and facility/grounds upkeep, and possess or have a willingness/ability to obtain a CDL. Specific skills in plumbing and/or general contracting/construction may be given preference. Additional responsibilities will include regular supervision and class sponsorships. Prior boarding school experience is preferred, but not necessarily required.
