Description: • Pre- and Post award budget management; Track approx. $2.6 million budget per year/14.5 million over a five-year period • Assist the director of grants with budget preparation, revisions, applications and annual/semi-annual reports • Maintain effective communication with activity directors and accounting representatives • Maintain secure, accurate and accessible records relating to budgetary expenditures • Maintain inventories of equipment purchased with grant funds • Monitor funded federal grant budgets; Prepare financial reports for restricted federal grant programs • Budget development (with grants writing support) for research and capacity building grant proposals; training admin staff of newly acquired grants on management and reporting processes and monitoring of spending; thereby supporting effective quality assurance for faculty development • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience: • Bachelor's degree preferred • Ability to earn the Grants Management Certification within 2 years of hire • Must be detail oriented and possess strong analytical and writing skills • Needs experience with data analysis; accounting or math skills a must • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel • Successful applicant should be able to use data management software including spreadsheets, database functions, and financial analysis programs
