Description: Master's degree (Human Resources, Business degree is preferred) or Bachelor's degree with 7-10 years of experience in human resources or related experience. HR certification preferred (SHRM or PHR). Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to appropriately prioritize tasks and programs. Advanced computer skills to include Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience: Direct the overall functions of the Human Resources Department, student employment and student career center Champion behavior that is aligned with the university's values, respectful workplace expectations and campus culture. Manage employment processing which includes participating in interviews, preparing offer letters, on-boarding. Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. Respond to employee inquires regarding policies, procedures and operational changes Work closely with payroll, including assisting in resolving payroll issues. Consult with employees (both supervisors and subordinates) in response to reports of grievance, harassment and other issues.
