Description: Produces clear and compelling content for dissemination to media, faculty, staff, students, parents, alumni, church members, and other key university stakeholders. Serves as managing editor for alumni magazine and correspondent for monthly church magazine. Establishes strong university presence on social media. Moderates daily e-mail announcements to campus, produces internal communications, posts news releases to university web site. Assists with the implementation of recruiting and other university events. Experience: •Education: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or liberal arts area or equivalent experience. •Experience/Skills •Years of experience: Three (3) or more years of experience in public relations or communications, including demonstrated practice in media relations, publishing and online media. •Demonstrated ability to identify content leads, collect information and produce written materials in a variety of styles—web site, feature, news, and social media. •Demonstrated writing, verbal and interpersonal skills. •Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects on deadline. •Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word and Excel; InDesign; Photoshop; Typo 3 or other content management software. •Ability to exercise good judgment, exhibit creativity, and work with others to develop solutions within the university’s policies and standards.
