Description: Walla Walla University’s School of Nursing seeks applications for a full-time teaching position on the College Place, WA campus. This person will also hold the role of Associate Dean for the School of Nursing. The School of Nursing seeks applicants with a passion for teaching and a commitment to diversity and inclusion in nursing education. This position includes teaching responsibilities for freshman and sophomore nursing students (classroom, skills lab, and patient care supervision), student academic advising and working with prospective nursing majors; management of the School of Nursing participation in College Place campus events; supervision and evaluation of College Place campus nursing faculty, clinical instructors, administrative assistant and student workers; collaboration with non-nursing colleagues and administration on the College Place campus and with nursing colleagues and Dean on the Portland campus; and ability to represent the School of Nursing when the Dean is unavailable. At present teaching in the summer is not expected. However, communicating with students or prospective students during the summer is probable.

Experience: All faculty candidates must possess: • Doctoral degree in nursing though applicants with a master’s degree and doctoral degree in process will be considered • A minimum of 3-5 years of full-time nursing experience and • Eligible for RN licensure in WA by the beginning of the school year Preferred qualifications: • Evidence of effective teaching at the baccalaureate level and • Previous experience in a higher education setting Prospective candidates interested in the position are asked to submit the online faculty application.
