Description: The Adventist Christian School located in Muscatine, on the Mississippi River in eastern Iowa, is seeking a full-time K through 8th grades head teacher. Current enrollment for the 2021-22 school year is 7 students. Our diverse student body and supportive parents make this school a great opportunity for any teachers looking to be a part of a very supportive Adventist community. The position requires a current NAD elementary certificate with preferred experience. Leadership experience and the ability to be principal of the school is important. A candidate should have strong spiritual attributes, a positive rapport with students and parents, a commitment to promoting Adventist Education both within and outside the church, an active part in recruiting students, ability to work with aides and volunteers, effective organizational skills, timely planning and communication, follow-through, excellent classroom management skills, and must maintain an active Seventh-day Adventist church membership and attendance.

Experience: Candidate must be a committed Seventh-day Adventist who supports the teachings and standards of the church and has teaching experience at the grades K to 8 levels. The ideal candidate has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a current NAD Elementary certification. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy. Must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide evidence of that right if employed.
