Description: Memphis Adventist Academy (MAA) is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and highly motivated 5th/6th grade teacher to join our MAA family. We are a PK-10 junior academy with over 80 students and 12 staff members. Other: MAA is the combination of two Seventh-day Adventist academies – Greater Memphis Adventist Academy and Memphis Junior Academy – both of which are more than 100 years old. We strive to be a premier school for a Christ-centered, growth-focused, holistic, college-and-career-ready education that prepares a diverse student population for a saving relationship with Christ, and service to humanity. With the aid of 21st century technology, an equipped science lab, various school clubs, and our emphasis on character education, we endeavor to actualize each child’s potential while working closely with parents, pastors, constituency, and community partners. MAA is accredited by two associations: Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges and the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, a member of the National Council for Private School Accreditation. The school is also registered with the State of Tennessee.

Experience: To apply, one must be a committed Seventh-day Adventist Christian possessing a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years teaching experience, has a track record of exceeding expected growth for each child, and be willing to lead an extracurricular activity such as yearbook, drama, art club, or national honor society. Applicants must have the legal right to work and reside in the United States and have a NAD teaching certificate or willing to work toward one.
