Thus, we are seeking a full-time Title IX Coordinator to oversee our continued commitment to full compliance with the United States Department of Education Office for Civil Rights’ mandate that universities actively prevent “discrimination on the basis of sex in education programs or activities” and to ensure that our highly diverse campus intentionally nurtures and supports diversity.
Experience: Master’s Degree required. Master's Degree in Social Work, Social Justice, Sociology, Social Anthropology, Psychology, Higher Education Administration, or related field, or JD preferred. Minimum Experience: 2 - 3 years of progressively responsible experience in areas such as complaint resolution; student judicial affairs; human resources management; advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion; and/or Title IX/Equal Employment Opportunity/Americans with Disability Act compliance, including significant experience handling investigations related to sexual harassment, discrimination, and/or sexual violence. Preferred Experience: 5 or more years of related experience, including experience in handling grievances and conducting investigations alleging gender-based violence, discrimination and/or harassment. Experience in interpreting federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity laws and Title IX regulations. Experience dealing with workplace dispute resolution and/or student conduct adjudication in a Higher Education setting. Administrative experience in Higher Education, nonprofit, or public sector organizations; successful development and implementation of educational and training programs, with strong presentation and facilitation skills.
