Description: As member of the Counseling & Testing Center clinical team, provides individual, couple, and group counseling. Available for after-office hours, clinical consultations, and student crisis interventions. Maintains an assigned case load, and provides consultations on issues related to mental health. Reports to the Director of Counseling & Testing Center. The Counseling & Testing Center is a vibrant department with on-going interactive connections with students and other individuals during office hours. Experience: Degree from an accredited academic institution Current LPC orĀ  full psychology license (LP) in Michigan Preferred minimum of one to two years experience in college mental health services Demonstrated knowledge of student development theory Commitment to working collaboratively within the Student Life Division, establishing and maintaining close working relationships with faculty, staff, and administrators Previous work with a diverse student population preferred Interpersonal, organization and communication skills required. Computer efficiency, especially with Microsoft Word, Access PowerPoint and Excel Programs. Knowledge of Web page development and maintenance a plus. Must be comfortable interacting with students, faculty, staff, university administrators, parents, and medical as well as mental health providers beyond the university campus. This is a therapist position so must be able to engage in interactive therapeutic relationships for a greater part of the day
