Description: Stonehill Christian Academy (SCA) is seeking a teacher (with the opportunity to also be head teacher) for grades 3-5 for the 2023-2024 school year. SCA offers a Preschool through 8th grade program in a small-town setting in Pflugerville, Texas, serving the greater Austin area. Experience: SCA is seeking a Christ-centered, caring, motivated educator who can provide quality academic development with a focus on spiritual learning. SCA’s team of teachers works closely together and focuses instruction on the whole child with project based-learning opportunities. The successful applicant must be flexible, show positivity in the workplace, have good classroom management skills, and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues. We will consider applicants for the head teacher position based on interest and leadership experience. The head teacher will head a team of four teachers with multi-grade classrooms; the school serves about 40 students. SCA works closely with their constituent church and will need a leader who works well with others, has strong communication, administrative and organizational skills. The ideal candidate will have experience as a head teacher, be an active member of the SDA church in good standing, hold or be qualified to receive an NAD teaching certificate; and be authorized to work in the United States.
