Description: Hood View Adventist School serves preschool to 8th-grade students in beautiful rural Boring, Oregon. HVAS offers separate preschool (ages 3&4) and preKindergarten (ages 4&5) programs that operate when school is in session (August-June). We are looking for a caring, professional, organized, creative preschool instructor to join our team as Head Teacher for our preschool classroom in January. The preschool Head Teacher position is part time (28 to 30 hours per week), but additional hours in our Before- and After-School Care (BASC) program may be available, if desired. Experience: To be considered for this position, it is necessary to have a high school diploma and some early childhood education training as well as childcare experience. The perfect applicant will have an Associate’s degree in Early Child Education along with previous employment in a licensed child care center. The applicant must have the legal right to work and reside in the United State and provide evidence of that right if employed. Our preschool, PreK, and BASC programs are state licensed. Thus, to work with us, an applicant must be enrolled in Oregon’s Central Background Registry and complete required certification coursework. HVAS provides financial compensation for these required courses and certifications, if they are needed.
