Description: Prescott Seventh-day Adventist School is seeking a full-time teacher for grades K-8 for the 2023-2024 school year. Prescott SDA School is one of the oldest schools in the Iowa-Missouri Conference. The doors were first opened in 1903 and the school has continued through the years due to the continued support of a church family that values Adventist Education. This one-room school, with a teacher’s aide, is located in St. Joseph, Missouri, which is roughly 30 miles north of Kansas City, Missouri. The position requires a current NAD elementary certification with preferred experience. Candidates should have strong spiritual attributes and rapport with students, effective organizational skills, timely planning and communication, follow-through, and active Seventh-day Adventist church membership and attendance.

Experience: Candidates must be committed Seventh-day Adventists. The ideal candidate has a minimum of a B.S. in elementary education and a current NAD Elementary certification. Salary and benefits are based on the denominational wage scale and policy. Must have the legal right to work in the United States and be able to provide evidence of that right if employed.
