Description: The Grayling SDA School has an opening for a teacher/principal. We are a one-room school looking to grow. The K-8 multi-grade teacher would be expected to be organized, establish and maintain classroom guidelines in accordance with school policies, hold students to high standards of academics, character, and Christ-like behavior while being flexible and nurturing to each student's individual circumstances and needs. We are looking for a teacher who has a passion for inspiring young minds and leading students in their walk with Christ. Grayling is a three-stop-light town located along I-75 in the northern part of the lower peninsula of Michigan. It is a great place for those who love outdoor activities. The largest city nearby is Traverse City, which is about a 1-hour drive. The large one-room school is located within the grounds of Camp Au Sable and is currently attached to the Grayling Adventist Church, which is the constituent church and is very supportive of the school. The school also employs a teacher assistant. Incredible opportunities exist for learning outside, including trails, the nature center and other camp facilities.

Experience: The ideal candidate will be an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in good and regular standing, with a willingness to model Adventist beliefs, traditional Adventist lifestyle values and standards. They hold a current SDA teaching certification/credentials and preferably have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of multi-grade teaching experience.
