Description: Berean Junior Academy is located in the Queen City of Charlotte, NC. The school is located on a lovely stand-alone campus and is affiliated with three constituent metro churches. BJA is seeking applicants for the position of Principal/Teacher who has a passion for Christian education, love for working with young people, executes with wisdom and is an innovative teacher-leader. BJA aims to become a school of academic excellence and character development. In addition, applicants should be able to manage school operations, fiscal responsibilities, provide strong instructional leadership to our teachers and staff members, and be responsible for the overall management of the school facility. Utilize data provided to inform instructional practices. • Conduct clear and open communications with all stakeholders • Use technology and facilitate its integration into learning and school operations whenever necessary • Motivate staff and students and is proficient in team building • Implement and uphold all school & educational policies and integrate any NAD/conference and/or governmental guidelines into each class curriculum. • Respond immediately to concerns from parents and school board administration • Create and nurture a warm climate at the school that is hospitable and open to education. Manage people, data, and processes simultaneously • Facilitate year over year increase in academic performance • Work with board to implement and execute a strong marketing and recruitment strategy and plan. BJA has outstanding participatory support from the school board, constituent pastor, church membership, and parents

Experience: Master’s Degree or higher required. Be an active member of the Seventh-day Adventist church. Promotes and understands the mission and ministry of Adventist education. Five or more years of teaching experience. • Five or more years of Educational Leadership and/or Christian Administration. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional NAD Certification, preferred or State Administrative License or Leadership credentials. U.S. Citizenship required.
