Description: Maplewood Academy (MWA) is seeking an experienced music teacher for the 2023-2024 school year and beyond. In addition to endorsements in Music, there is a need to have the ability to teach other subjects. Currently, the school offers a choir, a select choir, a bell choir, and a music ensemble. There is an interest in expanding some of these offerings. Established in 1888, MWA is a co-educational secondary boarding school located in beautiful Hutchinson, Minnesota, just over an hour from Minneapolis and the many opportunities that provides. MWA enjoys strong support from the Minnesota Conference and has a committed and dedicated faculty and staff, as well as a diverse population of approximately 70 students. Maplewood is in the initial stages of a major capital campaign to replace an aging cafeteria building, with plans to build a new space for the music department as phase two.

Experience: The ideal applicant will have experience as a music teacher as well as the prerequisite denominational certifications. Endorsements in addition to music are preferred.
