Description: The School of Business at Burman University has produced several generations of well- qualified Business graduates including Certified Professional Accountants, University Instructors, Entrepreneurial Business Owners, Auditors, Investment Advisors, Financial Managers, Lawyers, Recruiters, Real Estate Investors, Marketing Coordinators, Business Process Optimization Leads, Financial Analysts, and Public Servants all over Canada and abroad. Burman University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Business. Instructional roles include teaching undergraduate accounting and related Business courses. In addition to teaching, the successful applicant is expected to be actively engaged in research, publication, and community outreach. He/she will be committed to excellence in teaching, advising, and mentoring students. Other responsibilities include service on university-wide committees. In addition, the successful candidate will commit to Christian higher education and be a Seventh-day Adventist Christian in regular standing. Applicants should be able to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, bring real-world experiences to the classroom and student research projects, work collaboratively, and demonstrate reasonable potential for scholarly activity. Applicants must be eligible to work in Canada.

Experience: The suitable candidate will hold a PhD in Business specializing in Accounting. He/she will demonstrate knowledge of Canadian accounting, financial and fiscal systems. A Master’s degree in Accounting with a CPA designation will be considered. Preference will be given to candidates with Canadian experience. Professional and post-secondary teaching experiences are required.
