The Dillingham Adventist Elementary School, located in Dillingham, AK, is seeking a Christ-centered mission-minded lead teacher. This is a two-teacher school with the lead teacher teaching grades 1-8 and a locally funded pre-k/kindergarten teacher. The ideal candidate would be excited to go on an amazing adventure to continue building the ministry of education for Christ in this remote fishing community. The selected candidate would get to work with a diverse group of students including the opportunity to interact with Alaskan Native families and teach their kids. The church and school have been a respected and appreciated part of this community for over 100 years. The school is supported by a small, active, and caring church. The school has an outstanding facility with three classrooms and a gymnasium. Located on the Church and school grounds is a two-bedroom teacher’s living quarters. Dillingham is a large fishing village with 2200 residents that swells to roughly 9,000 during the fishing season. It is a remote village that is the center of commerce for the Bristol Bay Salmon fishing District and boasts such businesses as a few restaurants, a bank, a hardware store, a couple of grocery stores and other such businesses. The ocean bay, lakes, and mountains are beautiful, and the people are amazing. Great ministry opportunities and outdoor adventure awaits an adventurer for Christ.
