Description

The successful applicant will be able to conduct college courses for undergraduate students and demonstrate a love of teaching and a desire to help students enjoy learning within the field of Kinesiology. Teaching Sports Psychology, Ethics, Exercise Careers and Management, kinesiology-related and activity classes to undergraduate students. Involvement in student research Advising/Mentoring students on academic and career-related issues Participate in other departmental activities, such as colloquia, and pre-vespers. Practice collegiality.

  • Teaches physical education, within prescribed curriculum.
  • Prepares and delivers lectures to students.
  • Compiles bibliographies of specialized materials for outside reading assignments.
  • Stimulates class discussions.
  • Compiles, administers, and grades examinations, or assigns this work to others.
  • Directs research of other teachers or graduate students working for advanced academic degrees.
  • Conducts research in particular field of knowledge and publishes findings in professional journals.
  • Performs related duties such as advising students on academic and vocational curricula, and acting as adviser to student organizations.
  • Serves on faculty committee providing professional consulting services to government and industry.

     

Required Experience

Education/Experience/Certifications: 

Master's degree (M. A.) preferably Doctorate (Ph.D.) 

Research experience within the fields of Kinesiology, Sports Leadership, or Health Sciences. 

Experience in undergraduate teaching American Red Cross Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instructor Trainer certification Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach
