Our growing PK-8 school has developed a popular Forest School program for grades K-1. We are seeking a lead teacher for this program. Students in our Forest School divide their time every day between our forest learning environment and the classroom. Adequate support staff is provided so the teacher has time to plan, teach and assess. The position is a full-time, benefited conference teaching position. The Forest School teacher is a member of a four teacher staff. Students attend class four days a week, Monday-Thursday, so teachers at P.A. have one day a week for planning, grading, and professional development.

 Parkersburg Academy is located in Wild, Wonderful West Virginia and is within close driving distance to hiking, biking, boating, climbing and winter sports. The successful candidate will be a committed Christian with full NAD credentials or qualification for. Our Forest School teacher will enjoy being in the outdoors and have the health and fitness to work with children in that setting. A love of nature, creativity, adaptability and a strong record of academic success is essential, along with good people management skills.
