Teaching Principal

Valdosta Christian Academy in Valdosta, GA
Southern Union Conference | Georgia-Cumberland Conference
Description

Valdosta Christian Academy (VCA) warmly invites applications for the dynamic role of Teaching Principal for Grades 1–8 for the upcoming academic year. Located in the welcoming city of Valdosta Georgia—a gem in South Georgia known for its strong sense of community, rich history, and natural beauty—VCA offers a nurturing, Christ-centered environment where students are deeply known and supported. VCA is a small, close-knit school, and we see this not as a limitation but as one of our greatest strengths. Our size allows us to build meaningful relationships, personalize learning, and create a family-like culture where every student is seen,
heard, and valued. At the same time, we are prayerfully seeking a leader with the vision and passion to help the school grow, both spiritually and in enrollment, as we look toward the future. The Teaching Principal will embody the spirit of VCA—leading with vision, empathy, and innovation while remaining actively engaged in the classroom. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape both the academic and spiritual direction of the school, fostering an environment where students flourish academically, spiritually, and personally. At the heart of VCA is a belief in the transformative power of connection, inspired by John 15:4–5. We believe students thrive when they are deeply connected to caring educators, strong role models, and a faith-filled learning environment. Our approach emphasizes personal relationships, mixed-grade learning, service to others, and project-based experiences that extend beyond textbooks. Over the past year, VCA has taken intentional steps to strengthen its foundation by implementing key systems designed to support student success and school sustainability. These systems now serve as a strong framework for the next phase of growth. The incoming principal will be expected to build upon this foundation, partnering closely with faculty, families, the school board, and the church to lead VCA forward with unity, clarity, and purpose. This position is ideal for a relational leader who would thrive in a small-school environment, values collaboration, and brings both pastoral sensitivity and strategic vision—including a willingness to engage in recruitment efforts, community relationships, and enrollment growth initiatives as part of the school’s ongoing development. At Valdosta Christian Academy, leadership is personal, learning is relational, and growth is intentional. We invite a leader who is ready to walk alongside our students, partner with our community, and help guide a small but thriving school into its next season of impact.
