The Assistant or Associate Professor of Architecture holds a faculty appointment and has academic, service, and scholarship responsibilities consistent with the mission and philosophy of Andrews University and the School of Architecture & Interior Design (SAID). This position will require the teaching of upper-division and/or graduate-level courses.

Required

• A minimum of 10 years of combined experience in the practice of architecture and/or teaching architecture at the university level.
• Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree or equivalent terminal degree

Preferred

• Post-professional degree or PhD in architecture
• Licensed architect in a U.S. jurisdiction
• Experience in both teaching and the practice of architecture
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Design of large, complex buildings
  • Design of various building systems, including structural
  • Design of healthcare facilities and mixed-use buildings
  • Sustainable design tools and practices
  • Urban design
• Proficient in BIM
