Tenure-track faculty .75 position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Department of English with teaching (3/3), service, and scholarship responsibilities beginning July 2025. Entails teaching composition and literature courses each term. The genres and periods of specialization are open, but we are especially interested in candidates who can teach American literature, creative writing, YA Literature, and/or English Education classes, and whose profile allows the candidate to collaborate with other departments on campus. A PhD in English Literature or a closely related field. MAs and ABDs may apply, but preference will be given to candidates who are close to completion or have already finished their doctoral training.
We seek a teacher-scholar who demonstrates a deep commitment to undergraduate teaching and mentorship, an investment in incorporating diversity and inclusion in the classroom, a burgeoning research agenda, and a willingness to engage with both departmental and university-wide service.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
