Supervises and coordinates activities of electrical department, with regard to installation, maintenance, and repair of electric power, lighting, and all electrical equipment/services on the University campus by performing the following duties. Maintains and tests camps fire and security equipment/systems. Rotates weekend shifts to take call for emergency service calls including repairs beyond normal work hours as required. May be called in at any time to assist with emergency repairs as needed. When on normal call rotation the response time to an emergency should not exceed more than thirty minutes. Must have at least five years experience in the electrical trade. Also should have working knowledge of the equipment and techniques used in contemporary electrical practice. Must have knowledge of the relevant State codes, Acts, and Regulations. Successful completion of an recognized apprenticeship in electricity. Preferred to have at least two years experience as a State of Michigan licensed Journeyman Electrician (which requires a four-year apprenticeship) . Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
