Mount Pisgah Academy, a Seventh-day Adventist boarding high school located in Candler, North Carolina, is currently looking for applicants for the position of assistant plant services director. The main responsibility of the assistant plant services director will be to ensure proper maintenance and repair of the plant in addition to tasks assigned by the plant services director and principal. The assistant plant services director will be required to supervise student workers and teach a Life Skills class in their area of expertise. Additionally, the applicant must be a certified bus driver (have a CDL or be willing to obtain one) who will assist with driving needs as required. The successful applicant will have a strong desire to mentor young people and be willing to serve others. This is a full-time salaried position, and on-campus housing is available at a very reasonable rate. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for supervision.
Applicants should have post-secondary training with a trade certificate or extensive experience in the responsibilities mentioned. A bachelor’s degree in physical plant management or industrial arts is preferred. Applicants should have a working knowledge of plumbing, general repair, locksmithing, welding, auto repair, heating/cooling, and refrigeration, which is essential. The director must have a CDL license (or be willing to obtain one) endorsed for passenger buses.
