Harrisburg Adventist School is located just outside the capital city of PA. Located near historic landmarks, the beautiful Susquehanna River, and the central PA mountains, this school is a destination for teachers and families who enjoy cultural and recreational activities. Further, the Harrisburg SDA church and school boasts a diverse population, numerous young families, a commitment to growing the church, school, and family relationships, and the ideology that young people are the church of today and their participation is valued. The grades 3-5 teacher will join a team of teachers who are committed to supporting each other professionally and spiritually. The team is highly involved with a very strong Home and School program and seeks to connect the families with the church and a relationship with Jesus Christ. Classroom management/discipline is focused on redemption and learning to be like Jesus.

The ideal candidate will be a Seventh-day Adventist who is actively involved in church and school ministries. They will love Jesus and love sharing Jesus with children of all nationalities. The candidate will be committed to developing academic excellence in students as well as developing their love for Jesus and Biblical truths as expressed in Seventh-day Adventist beliefs. A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in education, with NAD teacher certification, or the willingness to take classes to achieve NAD certification, is required. New graduate teachers are welcome as they will have the opportunity to grow and develop their teaching skills in a supportive environment with experienced mentor teachers.
