Mile High Academy (MHA) is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced part-time Spanish teacher for our middle school and upper school Spanish classes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching Spanish language and culture, inspiring students to develop proficiency and appreciation for the language. MHA offers a supportive and collaborative environment committed to providing excellence in Seventh-day Adventist education. Responsibilities: • Teach Spanish classes for middle school and upper school students. • Develop comprehensive lesson plans that focus on language acquisition, grammar, vocabulary, and cultural understanding. • Utilize engaging and interactive teaching methods to facilitate student learning. • Provide feedback and assessments to support student progress and growth. • Collaborate with other faculty members to integrate Spanish language and culture into cross-curricular activities.
Required Experience
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred. • Prior teaching experience preferred. • Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish language. • Strong knowledge of Spanish grammar, vocabulary, and culture. • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Flexibility to adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of diverse learners. • Must be available to work 10 to 15 hours per week on an hourly basis. • All candidates must have legal right to work in the United Sates. Rocky Mountain Conference Part-time Hourly Teaching Position 2024-2025 School Year The mission of the Rocky Mountain Conference is to lovingly support and empower every member in our conference to know Christ and to make Him fully known through education, outreach and service by communicating hope and encouraging a meaningful connection Christ and each other. Position: Teacher Immediate Supervisor: Head Teacher/Principal Supervisory Responsibilities: None Classification: Part-time, Non-exempt Mid-American Union Remuneration Scale: 59% to 102% Hourly Wage Scale: $17.81 to $31.49 Per Hour Starting hourly rate is determined after verification of denominational credentials issued by the Mid-America Union of Seventh-day Adventists and/or number of relevant years of teaching experience.
