Teaching Principal/Grades 1-8

Alice M Daley Adventist School in Rock Spring, GA
Southern Union Conference | Georgia-Cumberland Conference
Description
The Alice M Daley Adventist School is known as “The Little School With The Big Heart.” Located in the heart of beautiful Northwest Georgia, it is surrounded by hills and valleys, parks (including the stunning Cloudland Canyon State Park), hiking trails, farms and country scenes. But it is only 10 minutes from cities with shopping and eating establishments, 30 minutes from Chattanooga, 45 minutes from Southern Adventist University, and 45 minutes from the Conference Office in Calhoun, GA. The Rock Spring Seventh-day Adventist Church is next door and is a loving, active, multi-cultural, multi-generational church. The school has been closed for a number of years. But over the last 3-4 years, the members have worked hard and raised the money to open again. They have beautifully remodeled the school building bringing it up to code and are reopening the school in August of 2024. This is the only Christian elementary school in the valley that extends from Fort Oglethorpe, GA to Rome, GA (a distance of more than 50 miles). Thanks to some generous donations, the school is equipped with a large and excellent library for students of all ages. It also has a large teacher work room filled with well-organized teaching materials - resource books in every subject area, carefully packaged bulletin board sets (many brand new), borders, letter sets, colorful plastic baskets and bins for student projects, racks of organized art and craft materials, three large shelving units of games, puzzles, and manipulatives, etc. The Alice M Daley Adventist School is looking for a Barnabas - someone who lovingly seeks to bring out the best in each child and mentor them into effective leaders for the world and for the church. We want the children of our church and community to be inspired with a love of learning in an environment that lifts up Jesus in every aspect of the program. For more information, please see our website (https://www.amdadventistschool.com). Candidates must be committed Seventh-day Adventists, hold current NAD Elementary Certification, and have the right to work in the United States. Preference will be given to candidates with at least three years of multi-grade teaching experience.
