Description: We are seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant for the main office of Newbury Park Adventist Academy, a Grades 9-12 school located in Ventura County, 50 miles west of Downtown Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will be a baptized member of the SDA Church who believes that Christian Education is a mission and a calling. Regular responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: ensuring full teacher coverage of classes; managing main office phones and walk-in traffic; maintaining scheduling for administrators; working with administration to maintain the school calendar; preparing materials for Board meetings; submitting work order requests to the maintenance department; and coordinating materials and personnel for major events like alumni weekend and graduation.  The candidate must be authorized to work in the United States.  Resumes and inquiries may be directed to JP Willis at jwillis@sccsda.org, (818) 546-8457 or Joel Albritton at jalbritton@mynpaa.com, (805) 587-1926.  Interviews will be conducted, and position filled, when the right candidate is found regardless of the due date listed.

Applicants must be willing to mentor students to Christ and share God's love and grace on a daily basis. Must hold or be qualified to receive an NAD multiple subject teaching certificate, be an energetic, flexible team player, be familiar with SDA elementary curriculum (or have a willingness to learn), be organized, able to follow-through, and be an excellent communicator.  Looking for a person who loves God and children and isn’t afraid to show that love in words and actions.  Must be able to work legally in the United States.
