Greater Lansing Adventist School (GLAS) is looking for a homeroom 8-10th grade teacher who is passionate about teaching math and science for grades 6-8 in a team teaching scenario. Greater Lansing Adventist School enjoys the blessing of being supported by a three church constituency with a supportive and active school board. The school has represented strength, quality, and consistency in the Lansing area for many years. GLAS is one of a few schools in Michigan that has a strong and active handbell choir as well as a ukulele choir. 

Lansing Michigan is a wonderful location to work and live. It is not a significantly large city but is large enough to have many attractions and quality restaurants. The capital city offers many work opportunities for family members with two health care systems, MSU, headquarters for Auto Owners Insurance and a large Amazon warehouse as well as two General Motors assembly plants. Given its central location, Lansing is conveniently within reach of many educational opportunities for student field trips as well as access to other attractions that Michigan has to offer.

The ideal candidate possess NAD certification that includes some junior academy endorsements or educational degree in math and science content areas and a willingness to obtain junior academy endorsements, if needed.  Candidates should be strong Seventh-day Adventists in good and regular standing. Teachers should embrace and espouse the core of Adventist Education as reflected in the book, "Education" by Ellen White. They should be passionate about bringing students to Christ each day and equipping them to be missionaries for Him.
