Daughter of Zion Junior Academy (DOZA) is seeking a dedicated, passionate innovative principal who will leadership that results in strong teacher commitment and student academic excellence. The school is accredited by the North American Division Commission on Accreditation, the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges, and Universities, the National Council for Private School Accreditation and the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation.  DOZA is located in the beautiful suburbs of Delray Beach, Florida, minutes away from the beaches and numerous family and children oriented attractions.

The principal must be one who supports the doctrines of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and sets the spiritual climate and academic of the school. The principal will be responsible to the local school board and the Southeastern Conference superintendent.  

Candidates for this position should:

• be active members of the Seventh-day Adventist church, willing to transfer membership and take an active role in the local church
• hold current and appropriate North American certification
• have a minimum of a master’s degree in appropriate area of education
• have a strong knowledge of curriculum
• have proven leadership abilities
• be able to nurture a wholesome culture where students have freedom to explore and develop their personal walk with God
• support the teachers, staff and board by building and leading a cohesive team
• encourage excellence in all aspects of academics and extra-curricular activities
• work with the Financial Manager to ensure a strong financial program
• communicate regularly with the local constituency and prospective donors
