Description

Bass Memorial Academy, an SDA boarding high school in Lumberton, Mississippi is seeking applicants for an English Teacher.  The teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical growth.  The teacher is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success.  Applicants must have a strong desire to mentor young people and a willingness to serve others.  This is a full-time, salaried position that includes teaching English I-IV and two ESL classes.  Please visit the Bass Memorial Academy website (www.bmasda.org) for a job description and an employment application form for this position.  Job descriptions and the employment application form can be found on the “Career Opportunities” page.

Required Experience

Applicants should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in English with a secondary endorsement in English. Applicants should possess, qualify for, or be willing to take the necessary coursework to receive NAD certification.  Applicants should have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience as an English teacher.  Applicants must be committed to the mission and values of Bass Memorial Academy and be a member in good standing of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
