Description: We are seeking a full-time Boys’ Dean to serve at Newbury Park Adventist Academy, a Grades 9-12 school located in Ventura County, 50 miles west of Downtown Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will be a baptized member of the SDA Church who believes that Christian Education is a mission and a calling.  Required qualifications and experience for this position include but are not limited to: experience working with adolescents in an educational or residential setting; strong leadership and communication skills; knowledge of adolescent development and crisis intervention strategies; commitment to upholding Christian values in all aspects of the role; eagerness to plan dorm- and off-campus activities; supervision of study halls and leading out in dorm worship, providing a strong spiritual witness; and ability to work one-on-one as a mentor to develop students’ leadership skills. We offer regularly scheduled deans’ weekends and otherwise routine relief for overnight leave. This is a full-time position with benefits.
