Forest Lake Education Center (FLEC) is a large pre-k through eighth-grade school located in Longwood, Florida, just 8 miles from downtown Orlando and very close to Forest Lake Academy.  With an enrollment of nearly 700 students, each grade has multiple teachers and classrooms. FLEC is actively pursuing certification through Marzano High Reliability Schools, has completed Level 1 certification, and is pursuing Level 2 for the 2024-2025 school year. FLEC is seeking a vice principal for the day-to-day operations and the main supervision of the grades 6-8 teachers. The vice principal works closely with the administrative team, fostering an environment that fulfills the mission of FLEC of academic excellence, while nurturing students in their love of God, and service to others. The ideal candidate will be passionate about young people and be willing to grow with FLEC as they grow as a Marzano High-Reliability School, with the goal of implementing standards-based education. The main areas of responsibility will be the direct supervision of grades 6-8, physical education, the grades 6-8 elective school program, and grades 6-8 ESS/PowerMath, including supervision and coaching instruction. These responsibilities may vary based on the candidate's strengths.
