Description

Glendale Adventist Academy is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Manager to oversee financial operations and administrative functions. The Business Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of the school's finances, budgeting, human resources, and facilities. This position requires a strong background in financial management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Financial Management:
    • Manage all aspects of the school's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
    • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to safeguard assets and optimize financial performance.
  • Budgeting and Planning:
    • Prepare annual budgets in collaboration with school leadership and department heads.
    • Monitor budget variances and provide regular financial updates to the administration.
    • Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making and identify areas for cost savings or revenue generation.
  • Facilities Management:
    • Oversee the maintenance and security of school facilities and grounds.
    • Coordinate facility improvement projects and renovations as needed.
    • Develop and implement safety protocols and emergency preparedness plans.
  • Administrative Support:
    • Provide administrative support to the school administration.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to finances, personnel, and facilities.
    • Assist with special projects and initiatives as assigned.

 

Required Experience

The ideal candidate for this position will meet the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting processes, and AASI accounting software and other relevant tools such as Excel and FACTS SIS.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Displays a fervent passion for the growth and development of young individuals and a deep commitment to Jesus Christ.
