Our growing grades 1-8 school is located in beautiful Lewisburg, WV.  The available position is for a head teacher in a school with one, head teacher and a teaching assistant.  It is a  full-time, benefited conference teaching position.  Students attend class four days a week, Monday-Thursday, so teachers at GVA have one day a week for planning, grading, and professional development.

 Greenbrier Valley Academy is located in Wild, Wonderful West Virginia and is in the heart of prime recreational area for hiking, biking, boating, climbing and winter sports. GVA enjoys a strong, supportive church family and a beautifully organized school building with room to grow. 

We are looking for a solid Christian role model who loves teaching and thrives in an innovative, independent teachng environment.   A track record of success in academics and classroom management is important along with NAD certification or eligibility for.  Knowledge of and some experience with Standards Based Learning preferred.  A teacher with less experience but leadership skills and enthusiasm for growing a school is also invited to apply.
