Description

Memphis Adventist Academy (MAA) is seeking a dedicated, caring, dynamic teaching Principal for the 2024-2025 school year. The principal teaches several subjects for grades 7-10 including Algebra, Geometry, Biology and Physics with 1/3 release time for administration. Applicants should have strong people skills, the ability to foster positive relationships, and be proficient and knowledgeable about technology and its implementation into the classroom and curriculum. They should be a strong team player and be able to deliver instruction to students on the indicated subjects or grade levels using a variety of teaching methods and activities. 

The ideal principal is: fun, energetic, engaging, good communicator, good planner and organizer; able to collaborate and work well with teachers, pastors, board members and community leaders, and have a desire to guide students in developing a relationship with Jesus. Experience with Multi-grade teaching as well as previous administrative experience is preferred, but not required. 

Jr. Academy certification in Math is desired, (Jr. Aca. History/ English/ Bible is also a possibility). If you are committed to learning, have a love for teaching, relate well to students and parents in a positive manner, and love leading a collaborative team WE NEED YOU at MAA.
 

MAA will be entering its third year of an exciting kingdom growing partnership between Memphis Junior Academy and Greater Memphis Adventist Academy operated jointly by the KY-TN and South Central Conferences.  The school currently has 80 students with expected growth for next year.  Situated in a delightful suburban neighborhood setting, the school has a well-maintained facility with a gym, supportive board, 10 devoted churches, and family-friendly community.  It is also just a short drive for those that prefer country living.  This is the ideal position for an energetic educator who wants an immersive, hands-on experience as part of a learning community striving towards quality and excellence.

Required Experience

Candidate must be a committed Seventh-day Adventist who holds current NAD Elementary Certification. The applicant must have the legal right to work and reside in the United States. Preference is given to those with administrative experience, a Master's Degree, 3+ years of experience, and Jr. Academy endorsements.
