Description

The Oklahoma Conference Office is seeking an Administrative Assistant for the Education Department. This is a full-time hourly position for 39 hours a week. Responsibilities for this role may include:

  • Working with the Superintendent in the planning of various Conference-led events (teacher in-services, Outdoor School, and Music Festival).
  • Managing student information systems (AE Connect, Jupiter, and FACTS) and being the first line of troubleshooting for teachers and principals.
  • Monitoring background checks for all individuals associated with the schools (teachers, teacher aides, volunteers, and pastors).
  • Organizing data spreadsheets for various factors related to the schools.
  • Managing MAP testing platform.
  • Assisting schools in Data Rollup processes and correcting errors.
  • Assist the Superintendent in communications sent to the schools.
  • Prepare for the Board of Education meetings, including taking minutes.
  • Receiving and processing substitute teacher paperwork.
  • Keeping record of personal leave days for teachers
  • Manage the collection and organization of monthly checklists and files submitted to the Conference from the schools.

The candidate should also display a Christ-like attitude when communicating with all people both inside and outside of the Conference Office and a willingness to be a team player.

In addition to the responsibilities listed above for the Education Department, there will also be responsibilities from other departments with the Conference Office. The Conference Office is also seeking administrative assistants in other areas (Treasury and Human Resources).

Required Experience

Individual applicants must be supportive and active members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Prior training in office administration and student information systems is helpful but not required. A knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel) is needed. Candidates must already possess the legal ability to work in the United States. This position may be filled prior to the posting expiration date.
