Canyon Christian Academy (CCA) is a mission-oriented school serving their local community. It serves preschool to 8th-grade in beautiful Alamagordo, New Mexico. This new, modern school has current technology in each classroom along with the newly built preschool playground. Canyon Christian is seeking a teacher/director to lead its dynamic preschool program for 2024-2025 school year. The preschool is state licensed for 23 students with ages 3-5. The program implements the NAD Standards for Early Childhood Education and Creation Kids Curriculum. CCA has a strong school board and church support. Alamogordo is a city in the Tularosa Basin, bordered on the east by the Sacramento Mountains and to the west by Holloman Air Force Base. It is well known for its White Sands National Park and outdoor activities in the area. Just 1½ hour drive to El Paso, Texas and 3½ hour drive to Albuquerque. Seeking a highly enthusiastic, creative, flexible, caring and people friendly candidate with a BA in Early Childhood Education and one year experience or an AA in Child Development/Early Childhood Education with two years’ experience. The candidate must have great leadership skills, excellent classroom management, effective communication skills and highly professional when dealing with parents and staff. Previous experience in working with young children is preferred. Must be an active SDA member and authorized to work in the United States.
