Qualifications summary
Doctorate preferred in Computer Science or closely related field with emphasis in courses forthe New BS-Cybersecurity Degree Program.
- Will consider Masters in a Computer Science or closely related field, emphasis or experience in Cybersecurity preferred
The candidate must be dedicated to excellence in teaching, research ,and service
Participates as a member of the Department of Computing in casting a shared vision.
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Duties and responsibilities
- Teach Cybersecurity courses primarily and other Computer Science and related courses as assigned.
- Teach physically on campus.
- Serve on university committees.
- Research and scholarly activity.
- Stay current in new approaches to instruction, and new developments in the computing and cybersecurity fields via professional development activities.
- Participates in departmental assessment of student learning outcomes and utilization of resulting data as tools to advance the quality of departmental programs and services.
- Participates in faculty meetings, course scheduling, bulletin copy and other governance of the Department.
- Advising current students and meeting with new students.
- Act with integrity, fairness, and confidentiality in all duties.
- Promote student success.

Qualifications
- Doctorate preferred in Computing, or closely related field. emphasis or experience in Cybersecurity preferred
- All but dissertation defense will be considered.
- Will consider also Masters in a Computer Science or closely related field, emphasis or experience in Cybersecurity preferred
- Value scholarship through research publications and presentations
- Proficient in verbal and written English
- Ability to demonstrate inclusivity, civility, and respect for all
- Capable of working closely with other faculty in a team-oriented environment
- Keep current with the best practices of the profession

Physical demands
The physical demands are not limited to/but may include minor lifting of packages, office activities, (such as typing, writing, organizing) as well as copy-machine supplies, classroom supplies, etc. Listening, presenting, occasionally walking to and attending meetings across campus, are part of the physical demands of this position.
